These are entitlements and freedoms claimed for women and girls of all ages in many
societies. In some places, these rights are institutionalized or supported by law, local custom and behavior whereas in other countries they are ignored or suppressed. Issues commonly associated with the women's rights are: body integrity and autonomy, vote, hold public office, work, fair wages , own property, education, serve in military. CEDAW adopted in 1979 by UN General Assembly is often described as an international bill of rights for women. According to CEDAW, women should have right to:
1. Article 2 talks about equality between men and women.
2. Article 7 and 8 talks about the public life of women.
3. Article 9 talks about the nationality of women.
4. Article 10 talks about the education for women.
5. Article 12 is about the health care for women.
6. Article 13 talks about the economic and social life of women.
7. Article 17 is about the marriage choice for women.
8. Article 5 is about the elimination of stereotypes against women.
9. Article 3 is about the full development of women.
10. Article 6 is about the elimination of trafficking and exploitation of women.
11. Article 15 is about the equality before the law.
