The Lamentation of the Old Pensioner -W.B. Yeats

The poem “The Lamentation of the Old Pensioner” is written by William Butler. In this poem, the writer expressed bitter reality of every young, power, love, and vigor of life in front of TIME. The
poet also explained about the differences between young age and old age.
According to poet, during his young age he was handsome, charming, and followed by many girls. Remarkably, he had many friends to talk about politics and love. However, now he is no more handsome, powerful, and followed by girls as he used to be in past.  Similarly, now he doesn’t have any friends to talk about politics and love. This all is happened because of TIME. So, he compares his old age with a broken. It means, a broken tree doesn’t give shades, but only became the source of pollutant. So, like that he not only became old but became a useless person. There is no one to care or even talks with him. Every child scared to play with him. Therefore, this all is because of the time which made him older. So, he splits in the face of time and he told, time is his greatest enemy which took his all happiness, respect and other valuable things of his life.
Hence, he showed his anger against TIME.
